Samsung Electronics officially launched sales of its flagship Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in about 70 countries, including Korea, North America and all of Europe, Friday.

The company is scheduled to expand the number of countries to 130 by mid-September.

The Note 20 Ultra comes in three colors ― Mystic Bronze, Mystic Black and Mystic White ― and costs 1.45 million won ($1,225). The display has a 120Hz maximum refresh rate that is allows the seamless watching of movies, playing games or scrolling through social media.

The Note series has an improved S Pen stylus with additional gestures for controlling particular functions, improved latency and a nib that allows users to write more accurately and quickly.

The tech giant plans to conduct official launch ceremonies for the Galaxy Note 20 online, and hold offline events in certain countries to give prospective customers a chance to try out the new smartphones.

Samsung will provide extra benefits for customers who purchase a Galaxy Note 20 or Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in August.

They include free Galaxy Buds+, a game controller and a three-month free trial of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, a Nemonic mini printer that runs without ink or toner, and a year's extension of loss and damage insurance called "Samsung Care+."
